Traditional specialists
Since the mid-1990s, Kishorn Heritage has delivered a diverse portfolio of restoration and build projects in challenging locations across the Highlands and Islands, evolving from sub-contract specialist masonry work, to earning the reputation as the preferred principle contractor for traditionally constructed fine homes, working estates and discerning civils work.
Founder and stone masonry specialist Mike Tweats was joined by son, Daniel Tweats MRICS, in 2020 and together the West Highlanders and their team of highly skilled trades and craftsmen work with world class architects, landscape architects and designers to deliver outstanding projects to an exclusive client base.

Kishorn Heritage are passionate about every project undertaken, working hand in hand with a network of trusted sub-contractors who share our values.
Knowledge
As important as our mastery of traditional and cutting-edge construction methods is our knowledge and appreciation of the finest native, reclaimed or repurposed materials. Proving our time-served expertise, our knowledge is relied upon by world renowned design teams and no stone is left unturned in sourcing the absolutely finest materials and suppliers - whether it be locally-felled Douglas Fir or reclaimed granite setts from historic Edinburgh.
We take our responsibility to hone and evolve our people’s skills and professional development, with apprenticeships, specialist fellowships and further education ensuring we continue to offer clients the highest levels of craftsmanship.
Sustainability
Committed to reusing, reclaiming or repurposing materials, sustainability has been at the heart of everything we have done for the last four decades. As restoration specialists, we strive to reinstate historical structures to their former glory using original materials and techniques.
Equally and where appropriate, we employ modern sustainable materials and construction techniques to build in a way that optimises the performance and environmental credentials of a project.
Living and breathing sustainability, as a socially responsible contractor we are dedicated to nurturing our people and communities.
